BC 1308 Aaron Toadlena Royston turquoise bracelet Details

Aaron Toadlena: Married for over 20 years and has 2 daughters, two sons and a grandson. He lives in Northern Arizona. All his jewelry is stamped with a “handprint” which is the symbol of the creators of the five fingers clan. The ideas and creation of his jewelry evolve when his mind, heart, eyes, and hands work in concert. Aaron always creates his work of fine craftsmanship in the late evening or early dawn, when he feels his ideas come together from his soul. He believes his jewelry is a translation of his people “where the streams come together”.

Royston: A district in Nevada consisting of three turquoise mines: Bunker Hill, Oscar Wehrend, and the main producer, The Royal Blue. Royston is known for its beautiful colors ranging from deep green to rich, light blues which are set off by a heavy brown matrix. The Royston mine is producing a little high-grade turquoise today, operated by the Ottison family. They process most of their material into finished cabs and allow very little rough to come onto the market. This controlled output has raised the price of this material considerably in recent years.
