This Navajo-made Kingman turquoise ring was handcrafted by Delbert Gordon from sterling silver and genuine Kingman turquoise. The vertically set oval stone displays a vivid blue tone with natural dark matrix and is framed by twisted wire, repoussé triangle details, silver bead accents, and oxidized stampwork. The bold tapered band gives the piece a classic Southwestern profile with substantial wearability. Kingman Turquoise originates in the Mineral Park Mining District near Kingman, Arizona. One of the largest domestic turquoise mines, it is found in a large open pit copper mine in the high desert country. The Kingman Mine district was first mined by Native Americans; it was part of the most extensive prehistoric workings in Arizona.
