Handcrafted, Navajo-made earrings in sterling silver feature vibrant, teardrop-shaped Kingman turquoise stones with a gorgeous water-web matrix. Twisted wire, shell and concho-style repoussé elements and three suspended, dangly rain-drip elements per earring complete the breathtaking setting. French hook style with lightly oxidized finish.
Measures: 2" in overall length x 3/4" at their widest. Stone mounting measures approximately 1 1/4" in length.
Stone: Kingman Turquoise originates in the Mineral Park Mining District near Kingman, Arizona. One of the largest domestic turquoise mines, it is found in a large open pit copper mine in the high desert country. The Kingman Mine district was first mined by Native Americans; it was part of the most extensive prehistoric workings in Arizona.
