Multicolor Inlay Floral Pin

From our pawn collection this rare pin is Zuni handcrafted and inlaid with turquoise, coral, mother of pearl and onyx. The pin is a floral design and we think would look fabulous on a cuff, collar or even a hat. The piece comes attached to its original pawn ticket. The term "pawn" refers to jewelry that has been pawned to brokers. The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900's when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities. It is still used today and is embedded in the Navajo culture.
