Navajo handcrafted rug pattern pendant. This is one of most unique pendants we offer! The pendant features a large sun shape with a circular center inlayed with a traditonal rug pattern.The vibrant colors of the stones and cultured opals arre stunning. The artist is Rick Tolino.

STONES: Multiple pieces of stone make up the mosaic image.The black you see in the design is called "JET "and is a fossilized wood, which has been compressed over millions of years.The brown is made up of tiger eye & picture jasper. The blue stones in the corners is lapis, the blue iridescent rectangular shapes are made from Cultured Opal.
STORY: The Design in both rings is directly reflective of a Navajo Rug pattern called a "Storm Pattern". The middle apposing triangles are the "eye" of the storm, and the black steps represent storm clouds. Designs and or patterns showing storm clouds, whirl winds and or rain are common with the Navajo People as water is such a vital part of there life
