Large oval inlay pendant w/ Night Sky design

From our collection of Native American inlay art this Night Sky pendant. Designed and signed by Navajo artist Calvin Begay.The pendant features a oval shape with moons, stars, Navajo Yei figure mask, shooting stars and comets. The reverse side shows a relief image of two kokopelli dancers. A true work of art that you will be proud to wear. 

Measurements: 2" x 1" total length including bail /  Bail will accommodate up to a 7mm bead or chain

Design:Inspired by the clear dark night skies of the Navajo Nation. The Navajo believe that Father Sky contains everything unknown and therefor look to the sky for many of their answers. Due to the isolation of the Navajo nation the night skies are very dark and show many of the constellations that cannot been seen in other parts of the United States. The Navajo look to these stars for meanings and answers to their culture.
