Navajo handcrafted and set in solid sterling silver. The large pendant measures 1"3/4 across and hangs 2" including the bail. The black stones are a fossilized wood called Acoma Jet, the iridescent coloring is a cultured opal and the round stars are made from silver. The bail is large enough to accommodate up to a 7mm beads or chain. Beautifully detailed and easy to wear. It is signed by the artist.
NIGHT SKY JEWELRY COLLECTION: Inspired by the clear dark night skies of the Navajo Nation. The Navajo believe that Father Sky contains everything unknown and therefor look to the sky for many of their answers. Due to the isolation of the Navajo nation the night skies are very dark and show many of the constellations that cannot been seen in other parts of the United States. The Navajo look to these stars for meanings and answers to their culture.
