Artist: Vernon Haskie (born 1968) became a full-time award-winning jeweler in 1998 after leaving the tribal phone company. His hobby quickly became a thriving career, earning "Best of" awards at major Native art shows like Santa Fe Indian Market (1999, 2000) and Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair and Market (2000, 2002), among others. His pieces now sell for thousands, with increasing demand. Inspired by his parents' jewelry sales in his youth, Haskie initially pursued a biology degree, funding his studies by selling his creations. Deeply rooted in his Navajo culture and spirituality, these elements are reflected in all his artwork
