Split wire bracelet w/ turquoise-Pawn Jewelry
Navajo handcrafted bracelet is made of sterling silver and genuine turquoise. It features 3 pieces of 1/2 round silver wire for the cuff with a large rectangular turquoise stone in the center. The stone has a simple mounting and a serated bezel. It is light weight and easily shaped to fit most small wrists.
It comes attached to its original red pawn ticket.The term "pawn" refers to jewelry that has been pawned to brokers. The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900s when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities, it is still used today and is embedded in the Navajo culture.
