Small Vintage Shadow Box Ring

This ring from our PAWN collection features a small but vibrant, circular-shaped turquoise stone set in the middle of a shadowbox-style setting. Delicate stamping around the web-shaped shadow box and a vintage patina make this a classic vintage piece. The half-round wire band is split in two where it meets the setting making for a comfortable fit. The piece comes attached to its original pawn ticket. The term "pawn" refers to jewelry that has been pawned to brokers. The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900's when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities. It is still used today and is embedded in the Navajo culture.
