Handcrafted by Navajo artisan Delbert Gordon, this heavy-gauge sterling silver ring features prominent, raised crescent moon, fan and triangle appliqués with silver bead accents as the point of focus. An oxidized finish provides a bold, Southwestern aesthetic.
Measures: Band tapers from 3/4" to 3/8" and is finished with signature deep-channel stampwork which fans out to meet at the 7/8" wide x 7/8" silver-domed mounting.
Artist: Delbert Gordon from Houck, Arizona, became a silver smith while working for a trader in Gallup. Over the years, he has created some of the most beautiful traditional Navajo jewelry in existence. He has been a great mentor to many younger smiths, including his nephew, Derrick Gordon.
Stone: Kingman Turquoise originates in the Mineral Park Mining District near Kingman, Arizona. One of the largest domestic turquoise mines, it is found in a large open pit copper mine in the high desert country. The Kingman Mine district was first mined by Native Americans; it was part of the most extensive prehistoric workings in Arizona.
