Silver buckle w/ turquoise by artist T.O.White

Navajo handcrafted belt buckle by artist Tsosie Orville White. The artist is known for his detailed stamping and this buckle is a great example. A single turquoise stone sets in the middle of the rectangular shape has a scalloped edge and a traditional Navajo pattern throughout. It has a heavy weight with a sturdy feel.

Artist: Tsosie Orville White (TO White),  known for his precise stamp work, is from Arizona. He began making jewelry in the late 1980's after being inspired by his wife's family. Before becoming a renowned silversmith, Orville was a carpenter and an auto mechanic. He is known to sign his work as both with and without the use of his first name.
