Handcrafted bracelet by Navajo artist Albert Jake (signed A.Jake) It also has his the guild he works for hallmark HBH (Heavy by Hand).This unique piece has a very contemporary look and feel. It features square twist wire for the bracelet with silver leafs framing a rectangular stone. It has a medium weight and is easy to wear. A wonderful example of the artist's craftsmanship.

Stone: In the Russian hills of Kazakhstan sits the GOLDEN HILLS mine. The Turquoise is only mined in the winter months during the freezing cold and snow as rains flood the mine during the summer. The location of the mine is remote and difficult to bring equipment in and out of. It is the only Turquoise known to have the unique coloring of bright blue with a Lavender undertone.
Artist: He was born in 1959 in the Zuni Pueblo south of Gallup, New Mexico. He learned silversmithing from his parents. He specializes in traditional set stones and cluster jewelry with intricate stamp work. He has been smithing since 1987. He also creates sand-paintings and makes pottery. During the summers he works as a forest fire fighter. He lives with his wife and two daughters today in Rahmah, New Mexico, near the Zuni Pueblo.
