Night Sky inlay Butterfly pendant

Handcrafted by Navajo artisans in Gallup, New Mexico. This unique pendant was designed by renowed Navajo artist Calvin Begay. It features a detailed inlay area with an image of a Butterfly. There is NO paint or enamel used in the inlay of this ring, all the stones are real Acoma jet, picture jasper set in solid stelring silver. (* Due to there handcrafted nature, inlay designs may vary slightly by ring)

Design: NIGHT SKY JEWELRY COLLECTION, Inspired by the clear dark night skies of the Navajo Nation. The Navajo believe that Father Sky contains everything unknown and therefor look to the sky for many of their answers. Due to the isolation of the Navajo nation the night skies are very dark and show many of the constellations that cannot been seen in other parts of the United States. The Navajo look to these stars for meanings and answers to their culture.
