Handcrafted By Navajo artist Happy Piaso. The bracelet features 5 irregular shaped #8 turquoise stones. Another unique feature that really sets this bracelet apart from the rest is the use of both flat and twist wire mountings. Even the ends of cuff are heavily stamped. The concave shape of the bracelet allows it to lay comfortably on the wrist. This is a wonderful example of a Navajo bracelet with a rare turquoise stone.
Materials: Sterling silver & #8 Turquoise
Measurements: Width 7/8", inside 5-1/4" with a opening of 1-1/4" (all measurements are approximate)
*this bracelet will fit wrist sizes of 6-1/4" to 6-3/4"
Stone: Of the ten claims in this 20-acre area, the Number 8, first claimed by the Blue Star Company in Lander County, is considered the finest example of the gold-webbed turquoise. Number 8 turquoise is famous for its black, golden-red and brown spider web matrix background, which is set off by the soft blue to blue green turquoise. The mine is now depleted, and Number 8 turquoise is extremely rare and valuable.
