Navajo 11 stone cuff bracelet-Pawn jewelry

Navajo crafted cuff bracelet features 11 rectangular turquoise stones. Each of the stones have bevel cuts and are set in serrated bezels. The simple design of the bracelet centers around the turquoise stones. The silver shows natural oxidation on the edges and the inside.It has a sturdy feel and is very comfortable.The imperfections of the craftsmanship are part of the beauty. 

It comes attached to its original red pawn ticket.The term "pawn" refers to jewelry that has been pawned to brokers. The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900s when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities, it is still used today and is embedded in the Navajo culture.
