Navajo handcrafted bracelet by a unknown artist. The tradional design of the bracelet features unique pattern in the silver of storm clouds and whirling winds. This is a common design seen in the Navajo jewelry as rain is such an important factor. The bracelet has a light weight and is easy to wear. The turquoise has a soft green coloring.
It comes attached to its original red pawn ticket. The term "pawn" refers to jewelry that has been pawned to brokers. The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900s when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities, it is still used today and is embedded in the Navajo culture.
