Man in Maze Cuff with Kokopelli & Wave Details

This Hopi-made, sterling silver cuff bracelet features a smooth, high-polish surface contrasting with traditional Hopi figures appearing in an oxidized recess. At the center of the figures is a circular Man in the Maze motif, which is flanked by flute-playing Kokopellis and geometric "wave" designs on each of the cuff tips.

Cuff measures 1" wide with an inside measurement of 6" and a 1 1/4" gap.

Figures in the recessed areas are created using the Hopi Overlay technique, where a top layer with a cut-out design is soldered to a solid base plate. Before the bottom silver plate is joined, a meticulous technique called "matting" is used to create tiny, intentional indentations (seen as tiny etches), catching light from within the recess and adding depth to the design.
