Large White Buffalo Heart Bracelet by D. Wylie

Open-design cuff bracelet by Navajo artisan Diane Wylie ("D. Wylie") features a medium-sized, heart-shaped White Buffalo stone enclosed by twisted rope wire and accented by star and silver bead design elements. The open-band design is composed of 1/2 round wire detailed with stamping and a single twisted rope wire. An antique finish provides this striking, feminine bracelet an understated look. Classic piece!

Measures 1 1/2" in width tapering to 3/8". Inside measures 5 3/8" with a 1 1/4" opening. Sized to fit a 6 1/4" to 6 1/2" wrist.

Materials: Sterling silver, White Buffalo stone

Stone: The White Buffalo stone originates from the Tonopah Nevada area found in the same general veins as Dry Creek turquoise but has no copper content. Considering this fact, it should therefore NOT be called “white, turquoise” as it does not have the same chemical composition as turquoise, which is a copper phosphate. There is no copper to cause blue color or iron to cause green color. It is a mostly clean white calcite/quartz mix with black chert inclusions (matrix) that are more sharply defined as opposed to being smutty. The better stones have clear delineations of black and white.
