Handcrafted ring by a Navajo artisian. Made of solid sterling silver with genuine Azurite. Azurite is a rare, soft, copper carbonate mineral that is a secondary ore of copper. It is a popular collector's stone because of its vivid color, which ranges from light to dark blue. The name comes from the Persian word Lazhward, which translates to "Azure Blue".In the southwest it is found in Morenci and Bisbee Arizona.The ring features a unique shaped stone that is framed by triangle wire with saw cuts and stamped silver flowers. The setting measures 1-3/4" in length with a maximum width of 1". the stone measures 1-1/4" x 3/4". It all sets on a smmoth wide shank. This probably one of most uniquely shaped ring.
