Kingman turquoise "empress" necklace set

Stunning Calvin Begay design handcrafted collar style necklace that we call the "Empress".  This unique designed necklace is made up of 38 inlay squares that are set together with hinges. The design allows for the necklace to form to almost any neckline. Each square is carefully inlayed with  Kingman turquoise and polished to a gloss finish. Measuring approximately 18" in length. The necklace has a box clasp with silver saftey chain. It also comes with matching hinge earrings on a silver post and backing. This is one of our most elegant necklaces. *Due to the natural and unique nature of turquoise, each necklace varies slightly in color of stones, while all still being absolutely gorgeous pieces!*

Stone: Kingman Turquoise originates in the Mineral Park Mining District near Kingman, Arizona. One of the largest domestic turquoise mines, it is found in a large open pit copper mine in the high desert country. The Kingman Mine district was first mined by Native Americans; it was part of the most extensive prehistoric workings in Arizona.
