Four circular Kingman turquoise stones arranged vertically between twisted square wire and sterling silver beads in this ornate, highly oxidized and heavily stamped piece by Navajo artisan Albert Jake ("A. Jake").
Materials: Sterling silver, Kingman turquoise Kingman Turquoise originates in the Mineral Park Mining District near Kingman, Arizona. One of the largest domestic turquoise mines, it is found in a large open pit copper mine in the high desert country. The Kingman Mine district was first mined by Native Americans; it was part of the most extensive prehistoric workings in Arizona.
Measurements: Mounting measures 1 1/8" x 5/8". Band tapers from 1/2" to 1/8" wide.
