Coral Custer and Overlay Buckle. This rare buckle is handcrafted by Roscoe Scott and is very traditional. All handstamped and features a 9 stone flower of Coral stones in the center. The buckle comes with it's original pawn ticket. The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900s when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities, it is still used today and is embedded in the Navajo culture.
Measurements:
Buckle measures 3" wide by 2-1/4" tall, stone setting area measures about 1" in diameter. Keeper accomodates up to 2-3/4" width belt.
