A beautiful pair of sterling silver post earrings featuring Kingman turquoise stones set in a concho-like motif. Crafted by Navajo artisan J. Nelson, these earrings feature heavy southwest-designed stamp work and an oxidized finish that enhances the striking patina. Suspended below are detailed feather "dangles" (measuring approx. 1 1/2" in length), which sway gracefully with your movement.
Measurements: approximately 3" overall length (including feather) x 7/8" max width. Stone measures 3/8" x 1/2"
Stone: Kingman Turquoise originates in the Mineral Park Mining District near Kingman, Arizona. One of the largest domestic turquoise mines, it is found in a large open pit copper mine in the high desert country. The Kingman Mine district was first mined by Native Americans; it was part of the most extensive prehistoric workings in Arizona.
