Beaded Sterling Silver Cuff (Pawn)

This simple beaded cuff is from our pawn collecrion. Navajo handcrafted this cuff features a beaded center set off by twist wire on either side. The piece comes attached to its original pawn ticket. The term "pawn" refers to jewelry that has been pawned to brokers. The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900's when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities. It is still used today and is embedded in the Navajo culture.

Measures: 1/4" 5-1/2" inside with a 1-1/2" opening.
