Badger Paw Overlay Cuff

Hopi-made, sterling silver cuff bracelet features a series of three stylized badger paws created using the Hopi overlay technique. These paws can be seen marching across a satin-finished band, consisting of a solid heel with geometric triangular cut-outs, topped by four long, curved claws that arch toward the edge of the cuff. Flanking either side is a Hopi water symbol (sometimes referred to as a Water Cloud or Spring symbol), often representing life-sustaining rain and emergence. Figures in the recessed areas are created using the Hopi Overlay technique, where a top layer with a cut-out design is soldered to a solid base plate. Before the bottom silver plate is joined, a meticulous technique called "matting" is used to create tiny, intentional indentations (seen as tiny etches), catching light from within the recess and adding depth to the design.

Cuff measures 3/4" wide with an inside measurement of 6" and a 1 1/4" gap.
