Navajo handcrafted adjustable ring by artist Marty Yazzie. Set in solid sterling silver, this ring features genuine hand cut stones such as blue denium lapis, jasper, turquoise and jet. Simple design is easy to wear on almost any finger. Actual colors may change slightly as each ring is inlayed by hand.
measurements: The tapered inlay are measures 1/4" to 1/8".
Story: The Design in both rings is directly reflective of a Navajo Rug pattern called a "Storm Pattern". The middle apposing triangles are the "eye" of the storm, and the black steps represent storm clouds. Designs and or patterns showing storm clouds, whirl winds and or rain are common with the Navajo People as water is such a vital part of their life
Stones: The Black you see in the design is called "JET "and is actually a fossilized wood, which has been compressed over millions of years. Multiple pieces of stone make up the mosaic image. The Brown is made up of Picture Jasper, blue is turquoise, the blue coloring is denium lapis and the blue iridescent rectangular shapes are made from cultured opal.
