NAVAJO HANDCRAFTED LARGE INLAY PENDANT BY ARTIST RANDY JAMES
Navajo handcrafted triangle shaped inlay pendant by artist Randy James. Set in solid sterling silver with genuine lapis, jasper and jet. Athe stones are hand cut and carefully inlayed into the design. The unique silver designs and patterns make this piece stand out from the rest. Measuring 2"1/8 in length with a maximum width of 1"1/4. The bail is large enough to accommodate up to a 8mm necklace are beads. This is a beautiful piece.
Stones: The Black you see in the design is called "JET "and is actually a fossilized wood, which has been compressed over millions of years. Multiple pieces of stone make up the mosaic image. The Brown is made up of Picture Jasper. The Dark Blue on the ends of the Ladies pendant is Lapis, the blue iridescent rectangular shapes are made from Cultured Opal.
Story: The Design in both rings is directly reflective of a Navajo Rug pattern called a "Storm Pattern". The middle apposing triangles are the "eye" of the storm, and the black steps represent storm clouds. Designs and or patterns showing storm clouds, whirl winds and or rain are common with the Navajo People as water is such a vital part of their life
