Spiderweb Lone Mountain turquoise cluster ring

VINTAGE 1970'S RING

Beautiful Lone Mountain spiderweb turquoise is used by this Navajo artist to create this ring. Set in solid sterling silver, the 9-stones in a cluster design are wrapped in hand twist wire with silver balls separating them. The ring measures 1" x 1". Circa 1970's with the artists signature hand written inside the ring ( Sylvester Santinro ) 

Stone: The Lone Mountain turquoise mine is located in Esmeralda County, Nevada. The turquoise is noted for its ability to hold its color and not fade. Usually found in nodules, Lone Mountain turquoise ranges in color from clear blue to spider-web. Because Lone Mountain turquoise holds its beautiful blue color well, it is a great addition to one's jewelry collection, lone mountain like the turquoise pictured is very rare these days, now the mine produces a light grayish blue color turquoise.
