NAVAJO HANDCRAFTED LINK BRACELET BY ARTIST JAMES LEE Stones: The Black you see in the design is called "JET "and is actually a fossilized wood, which has been compressed over millions of years. Multiple pieces of stone make up the mosaic image. The Brown is made up of Picture Jasper. The Dark Blue in the bracelet is Lapis, the blue iridescent rectangular shapes are made from Cultured Opal. Story: The Design in both rings is directly reflective of a Navajo Rug pattern called a "Storm Pattern". The middle apposing triangles are the "eye" of the storm, and the black steps represent storm clouds. Designs and or patterns showing storm clouds, whirl winds and or rain are common with the Navajo People as water is such a vital part of their life
