Navajo handcrafted bracelet by an unknown artist. The tradional design of the bracelet features 7 turquoise stones mounted in sterling silver. The large stones are mounted in a simple bezel with silver beads between.Heavy silver can be seen throughout the bracelet and really shows the craftsmanship of the artist. The bracelet has a sturdy feel and is very comfortable.
It comes attached to its original red pawn ticket.The term "pawn" refers to jewelry that has been pawned to brokers. The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900s when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities, it is still used today and is embedded in the Navajo culture.
