NAVAJO HANDCRAFTED BARREL AND SAUCER BEADED NECKLACE SET

Beautiful vintage barrel & saucer necklace set. Solid sterling silver. Measuring 24" in length with matching dangle earrings measuring 2" of total length. These are unusual styled beads that are not see much. The barrel beads have 3-pieces of silver for each bead making them difficult to craft. They have a medium weight that feel comfortable when worn. 

Navajo Pearls are traditionally made sterling silver beads. Silver beads are a traditional art form for Diné silversmiths, and the beads have as many expressions as there are artisans.Making the beads is a time-consuming process. Each bead begins with silver that has to be melted, rolled and cut.
