Navajo handcrafted pendant. This uniquely stamped piece is done by well known artist Leander Tahe (L.Tahe). He has used a technical style called Repoussé or repoussage. It refers to a metalworking technique in which a malleable metal is shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief. Chasing, chased work, or embossing refer to a similar technique, in which the piece is hammered on the front side, sinking the metal. Beautifully crafted and made of sterling silver with a dark oxidation for contrast.
