Vintage 1970's Navajo Yei chip inlay ring. Crafted by Navajo artist Tommy Singer. This is a unique piece. The Navajo Yei figure has a square head which signifies that is a female figure. It measures 1"1/2 in length. The split shank is easily sized and comfortable to wear. A true collectors piece. VINTAGE TOMMY SINGER RING CIRCA 1970 Tommy Singer (born 1940; death May 31, 2014) was a Navajo silver smith who specialized in chip-inlay jewelry. He died in a motorcycle accident on May 31, 20. His inlaid turquoise, coral, and silver pieces incorporated traditional Navajo designs. Singer gained acclaim as the originator of the chip inlay design which he developed in the 1970s.
