Navajo handcrafted bracelet by a unknown artist. The tradional design features 7 turquoise stones mounted in sterling silver. The nuggett stones are mounted in a serated bezel and set vertically side by side.Heavy 1/2 round wire is used for the main shape. The bracelet has a sturdy feel and is very comfortable.This is an outstanding piece.
It comes attached to its original red pawn ticket.The term "pawn" refers to jewelry that has been pawned to brokers. The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900s when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities, it is still used today and is embedded in the Navajo culture.
