Vintage Malachite and Silver Cuff

This vintage cuff is from our pawn collection . Light handstamp deatils line the sides of this cuff with silver overlay accents and a center stone of Malachite. This cuff carries a heavy patina from age. The piece comes attached to its original pawn ticket. The term "pawn" refers to jewelry that has been pawned to brokers. The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900's when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities. It is still used today and is embedded in the Navajo culture.
