Pawn Jewelry- Navajo 21 stone bracelet

Navajo handcrafted cuff bracelet. Made of solid sterling silver and featuring 21 round turquoise stones. The unique design shows the stones down the center with a border of twist wire and hand stamping.The artist has stamped thier hallmark on the inside ( JP ) The bracelet has a light weight to it and is easy to wear. A great example of a Navajo crafted bracelet. 

It comes attached to its original red pawn ticket.The term "pawn" refers to jewelry that has been pawned to brokers. The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900s when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities, it is still used today and is embedded in the Navajo culture.
