Handcrafted ring stamped by Navajo artisan H. Morgan features a beautifully polished, oval-shaped Kingman turquoise stone with a lovely caramel-brown webbing/ matrix. The fine saw-tooth bezel is wrapped in a thin, twisted rope wire and flanked by distinct, hand-stamped fan-shaped elements to create a traditional, almost architectural aesthetic. A beautiful piece with an "old school" look!
Measures: Mounting measures 1 5/8" x 5/8". Band is a four-way split and tapers from 1/2" to 1/4".
Stone: Kingman Turquoise originates in the Mineral Park Mining District near Kingman, Arizona. One of the largest domestic turquoise mines, it is found in a large open pit copper mine in the high desert country. The Kingman Mine district was first mined by Native Americans; it was part of the most extensive prehistoric workings in Arizona.
