Purple Sugilite pendant

This pendant is set in solid sterling silver and Navajo handcrafted. It features a large Sugilite stone measuring 1"1/8 x 5/8". The stone is surrounded in a unique pattern of saw cut sterling silver. The bail is large enough to accommodate up to a 20mm sized beaded necklace or chain.It simple design shows off the beauty of the sugilite stone. 

 Sugilite (purple) is a rare mineral named after Ken-ichi Sugi, a Japanese geologist who first discovered the material in 1944 on the Japanese island Shikoku.Sugilite has a vivid purple color and is usually opaque to translucent.
