Fine example of a traditional multi-stone setting on a native-made cuff. Crafted from sterling silver by artist "M. Chee," piece features 15 individually set turquoise stones across the band of this cuff from our PAWN collection. Lines stamped at an angle on halfround wire framing the cuff edges draw the eye in to the piece. Measures 7/8" wide With an 6" inside measurement and 1 1/2" gap. Stones measure 3/8" x 1/4". The piece comes attached to its original pawn ticket. The term "pawn" refers to jewelry that has been pawned to brokers. The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900's when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities. It is still used today and is embedded in the Navajo culture.
