Crafted by Navajo artist Geneva Apachito ("G.A."), this unique ring features two green gaspeite stones arranged in an offset split-face design. The band is flat with heavy stamping and a split into four where it meets the back of the mounting. Highly polished silver "shots," beads and scrolling wire add to the eclectic feel of this ring.
Materials: Sterling silver, gaspeite Named after its original location of discovery (the Gaspé Peninsula of Quebec, Canada), gaspeite is a bright yellow to apple green color with brownish veining. It was originally considered only a gangue mineral--a stone which contains a metal ore in its makeup, but that metal cannot be viably extracted from it.
Measurements: Mounting measures 1 1/8" x 7/8". Band tapers from 1/2" to 3/8" wide.
