Striking lightly oxidized sterling silver cuff features a hand-carved, heart-shaped Kingman turquoise stone with a golden-brown matrix. The setting is framed by a classic twisted wire flanked by silver tiny concho and "droplet" accents. The band features intricate yet traditional stampwork with a feminine appearance.
Measures: Band measures 5/8" wide. Stone measures 3/4" x 3/4". Inside band measures 5 1/2" with a 1" opening.
Stone: Kingman Turquoise originates in the Mineral Park Mining District near Kingman, Arizona. One of the largest domestic turquoise mines, it is found in a large open pit copper mine in the high desert country. The Kingman Mine district was first mined by Native Americans; it was part of the most extensive prehistoric workings in Arizona.
