Large Man In the Maze Cuff w/ Corn Details by Hyson Craig

This Hopi-made sterling silver cuff bracelet by Tyson Craig features a large central man in the maze design accented with stylized corn and geometric overlay details along each side. The bold overlay patterning is enhanced by oxidized recessed areas that highlight the dimensional silverwork and traditional Hopi-inspired imagery. Wide and substantial in form, this cuff makes a strong statement while maintaining a smooth, comfortable fit. The maze and corn design in the recessed area was created using the Hopi Overlay technique, where a top layer with a cut-out design is soldered to a solid base plate. Before the bottom silver plate is joined, a meticulous technique called "matting" is used to create tiny, intentional indentations (seen as tiny etches), catching light from within the oxidized recess to add depth to the design.
