Kingman turquoise Cross over Hearts pendant

Handcrafted by Navajo artist Albert Jake. (signed A.Jake & HBH- heavy by hand artisian guild) This large cluster pendant features a unique design of hearts and crosses. The contrast of the  blue/green Kingman turquoise is beautiful. The pendant also features outstanding stamping techniques from repousse´to deep patterns.They surround the turquoise tear drop & crosses on either side. It has a medium weight. This is a wonderful example of Navajo craftsmanship. 

Materials:  Kingman turquoise & sterling silver

Measurements: 2-3/4" x 1-1/2" /  The bail measures 3/4" x 1/2" and can accommodate up to a 20mm bead or necklace.

Artist: Albert Jake: was born in 1959 in the Zuni Pueblo south of Gallup, New Mexico.  He learned silversmithing from his parents. He specializes in traditional set stones and cluster jewelry with intricate stamp work. He has been smithing since 1987.  He also creates sand-paintings and makes pottery. During the summers he works as a forest fire fighter. He lives with his wife and two daughters today in Rahmah, New Mexico, near the Zuni Pueblo.
