Product Details
Beautiful split-wire band cuff featuring an oval-shaped, light-blue turquoise stone from our PAWN collection. The band design offers more "breathing room" and a lighter profile than solid band counterparts. Twisted rope wire surrounding the stone and leaf motifs flanking either side add a traditional aesthetic. Band measures 5 1/4" inside with a 1 1'4" gap. Stone measures 1" x 5/8". The piece comes attached to its original pawn ticket. The term "pawn" refers to jewelry that has been pawned to brokers. The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900's when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities. It is still used today and is embedded in the Navajo culture.
