Overlay Storm Cloud & Waves Cuff

This Hopi-made sterling silver cuff bracelet was handcrafted by Manuel and Karen Hoyungowa using the traditional Hopi overlay technique. The bracelet features a flowing storm cloud and wave design with oxidized recessed details that create contrast against the satin-finished silver surface. The storm cloud and wave design in the recessed area was created using the Hopi Overlay technique, where a top layer with a cut-out design is soldered to a solid base plate. Before the bottom silver plate is joined, a meticulous technique called "matting" is used to create tiny, intentional indentations (seen as tiny etches), catching light from within the oxidized recess to add depth to the design.

Measurements: 1/2" wide. Inside measures 5 1/4" with a 1 1/2" opening.
