Product Details
This unique pendant hand crafted by a Navajo artist is a sun shape with a single piece of green turquoise. The long bail has both a turquoise and coral stone. The piece comes attached to its original pawn ticket. The term "pawn" refers to jewelry that has been pawned to brokers. The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900's when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities. It is still used today and is embedded in the Navajo culture.
Materials: Sterling Silver, Turquoise & Coral
Measures: 1-1/8" long bail allowing for a 6mm bead. Pendant is 1-1/2" in diameter.
