9-stone black onyx wide bracelet

This is an outstanding example of a large Navajo handcrafted bracelet. Measuring almost 2" in width this is one of the widest bracelets we offer from any artist. Each of the 9 stones measure 1"1/8 x 1/4" and set in a channel created with 2 pieces of triangle wire that have been notched with detailed saw cuts. The inside of the bracelet has a patten stamped down the center giving this bracelet an extra element of style. Onyx is a chalcedony quartz that is mined in Brazil, India, California, and Uruguay. It has a fine texture and black color; however, some onyx also displays white bands or ribbons against a black or brown background and this variety is known as sardonyx.
