Pawn Jewelry- 1980's Navajo bracelet

Navajo handcrafted cuff bracelet is all about its unique design ! Featuring a singel medium sized oval turquoise stone set in medium guage sterling silver. The cuff part of the bracelet is made with two piece overlay patten of rain, whirl winds and storm clouds. The design of the bracelet is not typical of Navajo bracelet. It has a nice weight to it when worn with the high mounted turquoise stone making quite a presence. If your looking for a unique bracelet then this may be the one. It comes attached to its original red pawn ticket.The term "pawn" refers to jewelry that has been pawned to brokers. The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900s when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities, it is still used today and is embedded in the Navajo culture.
