This beautiful piece is hand painted and signed by the artist Connie Baker. It is approximately 26″ x 38.5″.
More than a painting, but not strictly a sculpture, her art is a mixture of both, creating rich, spatial, textural images, reminiscent of a frieze in ancient architecture. The best way to describe it is a modern type of relief sculpture. Unique fibers and artifacts are embedded into the sculptures then they are painted in an antiquing method, with concentrated watercolors.
